Founder and CEO

As the chief executive officer of Xstatic Public Relations, J.D. focuses on communications strategy, directs the firm’s growth strategy and manages the agency’s New York City office.
Prior to co-founding the firm in 2004, J.D. was a radio executive and a director for one of Denver’s top public relations firms. He has counseled a wide variety of companies, from start-ups to Fortune 500 corporations, including Hewlett-Packard, Kinko’s and TeleTech. J.D. has also worked with several nonprofit organizations, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity and United Way.
J.D. graduated magna cum laude from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in technical communication and journalism. He is an active member of the Manhattan Young Democrats, Social Media Club New York and the Public Relations Society of America. J.D. is a frequent speaker at marketing events and his writing has been featured in national publications such as Fast Company and U.S. Business Review.
In 2006, the Denver Business Journal named J.D. to its Forty Under 40 list, recognizing him as one of Denver’s top young business leaders. In 2007, he was named the Entrepreneur of the Year by the Denver Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. In 2008, he was chosen as the Outstanding Graduate of the Last Decade by Colorado State University.
