7dancers Presents “ART” at the Denver Center for Performing Arts May 28 – 30
~Original Show from Three Nationally Known Choreographers Debuts in Denver
7dancers, a nonprofit professional dance company out of Denver’s Cherry Creek Dance, is proud to present its 2010 spring production “ART” at The Denver Center for Performing Arts May 28-30. ART is a collaborative original show choreographed by: Mandy Moore, choreographer for the FOX TV show So You Think You Can Dance; Chantal Robson, choreographer and performer at numerous MTV, Grammy, and Billboards Awards shows; and Stephanie Prosenjak, former Denver Nuggets and Denver Broncos dancer, and owner of Cherry Creek Dance.
ART is an avant garde production featuring numerous guest artists exploring an inspired variety of social and cultural issues from around the world. ART is an intensely varied show; with themes revolving around balance, contrast, pattern, harmony, and color.
“ART is an exceptionally creative show from three highly gifted choreographers. This kind of excellence in performance rarely graces a stage outside of Los Angeles or New York. We are so excited to bring this type of talent and performance to audiences here in Denver,” said Stephanie Prosenjak, artistic director for 7dancers.
ART opens Friday, May 28 at 7:30 p.m., with additional performances on Saturday, May 29 at 3:07 and 7:37 p.m., and the final performance on Sunday, May 30 at 3:07 p.m. The show will take place at the DCPA’s Ricketson Theater at 1101 13th St. in downtown Denver. Ticket prices are $17 for students and $27 for adults and can be purchased by calling 303-399-8087 and at the door.
7dancers performs several original shows each year in the Denver metro area, all of which feature diverse dance styles, musical selections, and cultural and artistic themes. 7dancers consists of a core team of seven professional dancers who have extensively studied, taught and performed various forms of dance.
