With the exception of specific trade publications, avoid the use of technical jargon, business buzzwords and acronyms in press materials. Simple, straightforward language always improves chances for media success.

JFS Expands Colorado Senior Connections Program with Federal Support

DENVER — June 23, 2008 — Jewish Family Service of Colorado (JFS), a human services agency serving more than 21,500 people each year regardless of faith or economic status in the Denver metro area, was recently awarded $286,899 in federal funding to expand its Colorado Senior Connections (CSC) program. JFS is the lead agency in the CSC program which helps seniors live independently in their own homes by providing activities and community resources to enhance their health and social networks.

Parker Chamber of Commerce Adds Three New Staff Members
