Taste of Parker and Community Expo Dish Up Local Flavor This Saturday

~Parker Chamber Expects More Than 7,000 Visitors for Annual Event

PARKER, Colo. — Sept. 10, 2007 — Follow your nose to Parker this Saturday for an event that’s sure to make your appetite go wild! This Saturday, Sept. 15, the Parker Chamber of Commerce will host the 2007 Taste of Parker and Community Expo, highlighting the Town’s vibrant dining scene and local business community at the Wildlife Experience Museum located at 10035 South Peoria in Parker. The Taste of Parker attracts thousands of attendees each year and showcases Parker’s tantalizing and ever-expanding dining scene with dozens of restaurants and plenty of live, family-friendly entertainment. Taste tickets are available for purchase at the Parker Chamber office at 19751 E. Mainstreet, R12, in Parker, or at the event for $1 per ticket. Tastes range from one to four tickets each. The admission fee of $1 includes the event and entrance to the Wildlife Experience Museum, excluding IMAX.

Colorado Trout Unlimited Leads Great Colorado Rivers Cleanup on Sept. 15

~Volunteers Will Scour Rivers Statewide in Massive Conservation Cleanup Effort

BOULDER, Colo. — Sept. 6, 2007 — Colorado Trout Unlimited (CTU), a nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving, protecting and restoring Colorado’s coldwater fisheries, will lead the fourth annual Great Colorado Rivers Cleanup on Saturday, September 15, to remove trash and debris from river banks and channels throughout the state. CTU members and volunteers will scour designated river stretches near Aspen, Basalt, Boulder, Buena Vista, Carbondale, Colorado Springs, Denver, Durango, Estes Park, Evergreen, Fort Collins, Glenwood Springs, Idaho Springs, Granby, Leadville, Lyons, Pueblo, Silverthorne, Salida and Winter Park to remove trash and elevate the health of Colorado’s water sources.
