Dave Barry Highlights Second Annual JFS Executive Luncheon

~Annual Fundraiser Brought More Than 600 People and $70,000 to Support JFS of Colorado

DENVER — May 15, 2006 — The Second Annual JFS Executive Luncheon, held on Thursday, May 11, at the Donald R. Seawell Grand Ballroom at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, attracted more than 600 people and raised approximately $70,000 for Jewish Family Service of Colorado’s (JFS) programs and services. JFS, a human services agency serving more than 18,000 people each year in the Denver metro area, welcomed humor columnist and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Dave Barry as the luncheon’s featured speaker.

National Fly Fishing Championship Comes to Colorado This Summer

~Colorado Trout Unlimited Presents Annual Competition in June

BOULDER — May 9, 2006 — The top fly fishing competitors in the country will descend on Colorado this summer for three days of intense competition as the annual National Fly Fishing Championship hits five locations throughout the state. Colorado Trout Unlimited (CTU), a nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving, protecting and restoring Colorado’s coldwater fisheries, presents the National Fly Fishing Championship and Conservation Symposium this May 30 through June 4.

DENVER — May 8, 2006 — Colorado Press Women honored Xstatic Public Relations with seven awards at its 2006 Communications Contest on Saturday, recognizing excellence in communication for Colorado Trout Unlimited, Jewish Family Service of Colorado and Parker Chamber of Commerce. The annual communications awards were presented at the Colorado Press Women Spring Conference at the Spice of Life Event Center in Boulder, Colo.
