PARKER, Colo. — Nov. 21, 2005 — The Parker Chamber of Commerce has named Scott Wattum, owner of DVD Reflections in Parker, the 2005 O’Brien Chamber Citizen of the Year. The Chamber presents the annual award, which is named for longtime Parker resident and community leader Charlie O’Brien, to an individual who demonstrates outstanding commitment to the advancement of the Parker business community.

Colorado Department of Corrections Selects Physician Health Partners For Offender Healthcare

~PHP Provides Care to More Than 18,000 Inmates at 23 Colorado Facilities

DENVER — Nov. 8, 2005 — The Colorado Department of Corrections has selected Physician Health Partners (PHP), a Denver-based physician-owned and operated management services organization, to provide healthcare to more than 18,000 adult offenders in 23 facilities throughout the state. PHP will provide CDOC with access to its statewide network of physicians, develop managed care clinical guidelines, and ensure high-quality healthcare for the state’s adult offenders. PHP’s five-year contract with CDOC commenced on Sept. 1, 2005.

Five Appointed to Parker Chamber Board of Directors

PARKER, Colo. — Nov. 4, 2005 — The Parker Chamber of Commerce appointed five local business leaders to its board of directors, the Chamber’s 13-member governing body. The new board members are Kim Langelaar, Lorin Ricker, Lee Riggs, Thomas VanderHeiden and Scott Wattum. Chamber members confirmed each of the candidates for their positions on the board, and the directors will officially begin their terms on Jan. 1, 2006.
